With membership, our benefits can help you grow your business through:

Certification requires the completion of academic course work (some schools offer this on-line), practical skills workshops and seminars, and a mentorship with a certified Association member.
- Listing in the ACABC Membership Directory for other members and potential clients to easily locate you and verify your membership (listing type varies by membership level).
- Library: Members will now have access to journal articles and a librarian. Library resources are maintained and offered via a state-of-the-art online library created with Drupal®. A school librarian who holds a graduate degree in library science is available via email and telephone to assist members with their research and writing needs. There is also a real-time chat module available from the library web site. Library resources include current textbook titles, periodicals, and subscribed professional journals appropriate for ACABC members and educational programs, bibliographic and monographic references, major professional journals and reference services, and research and methodology materials. There is a Writing Center and articles describing academic honesty and plagiarism. Members have access to the online library 24/7/365 and the librarian is there to assist with research and obtaining article. Some full-text articles are free and others may have a small cost as established by online document deliver services and their agreements with publishers.
- Behavior Blog: A new blog has been set up for members to discuss behavior cases, problems and to post questions. A board member, veterinarian, board certified behavior analyst and an animal behaviorist will answer questions weekly or contact you via skype / phone if needed.

- Online Video Conference Center: Access to Multi-User Video Conference Room. Through an arrangement with the American College of Applied Science, members in good standing may schedule video conferences with an many as ten (10) participants. You can use this for caregiver training and presentations, marketing seminars for your local veterinarians and other referral sources, peer-related education, etc.
- This is much more efficient than doing a telephone consultation or client follow up since you can see the client and their dog in multiple angles / from multiple computers.
- In the future, we will be instituting a group rate for liability insurance, life insurance and other personal insurances.
In addition, the ACABC Board of Directors is currently working on plans to begin an annual educational and trade conference.
